More wood cookies and lots more fun!

Acers had a happy, creative morning in the forest! Look at what they did and how much learning took place….

Everyone cut a wood cookie. The children learnt to use a tool safely-they concentrated, remembered all the safety rules and worked cooperatively together.

Acers also learnt to make just the right consistency of mud for the perfect mud paint! They added and adjusted the proportions of soil and water until the mud was ‘sloppy’ ‘yukky’ ‘smooth’ and ‘runny’!

Some children learnt to be very independent and creative. They were provided with a box of rope and string and given free rein to do whatever they wished!

Look at the fabulous assault course. The green rope was ‘yukky slime’…it made you ‘all slippy and wet’ when you went on it!

And what a brilliant spider web…it was made so well and so quickly that we wondered if Spider Man had helped!

Elsewhere in the forest, mini-beasts were being hunted and identified, meals were being invented and mole hills and tunnels were being built. All in all, a lovely busy time was had by all.
