School Clubs

A week in the life of Langley Lunchtimes!

As many of our children are transported into school on minibuses, it is very difficult for them to attend after-school clubs which is why so much goes on at lunchtimes.

We offer a range of clubs which provide the children with a range of activities and experiences, should they choose to attend. For more information, read on...

Monday – Drumming

A chance for the children to express themselves (loudly) with our resident expert Miss Katy Francis.

Monday – Wake Up

A movement routine to music to wake the body up ready for learning; it’s fun too.

Tuesday – Football

Calling all budding Beckhams! The coach and manager of our wonderfully successful football team (Mr Mundye) works to provide regular practice sessions for all children who want to take part.

This lunchtime session often includes a game of football – giving a great opportunity to talent-spot and for all children to be involved in a game.

Tuesday – Peaceful Play

An opportunity for children to access a period of quiet play, where they can choose from board games, Lego and other games, away from the busy lunchtime playground.

Wednesday – Football

Wednesday – Music

Music club for a group and a chance for individuals to focus on developing skills.

Wednesday - Cut and Stick

Another chance to access quiet play away from the bustling playground; it also encourages and develops fine motor skills.

Thursday – Bey Blades

A competitive game which can encourage both individual skills and team playing. Comprises of little spinny things in a tray.

Thursday – Sensory

An opportunity to explore all our senses while having fun – it might be toys, light and sound or shaving foam!

Friday – Football

Calling all budding Beckhams! Mr Lynn provides another lunchtime of football. These sessions are always very popular with all children.

Friday – Peaceful Play

A second opportunity for children to access a period of quiet play, where they can choose from board games, Lego and other games, away from the busy lunchtime playground.

Everyday Fun...

For the children who choose to be in the playground, a range of structured activities are presented at lunchtimes throughout the week. These include:

  • Bikes and scooters
  • Bean bag games
  • Bats and balls
  • Cars and car mats
  • Superhero figures
  • Two brand new play tables

We will continue to try and provide clubs that the children enjoy.
