Special Event - India Day

20 March 2012

We had a fabulous day on Tuesday when we had an India Day in school.

Classes dressed up in Asian costume, made garlands, drew mendhi patterns on paper hands, cooked and ate Indian food and, believe it or not, made an elephant. It looks magnificent standing in our entrance hall.

Visitors came into school to teach us some Indian dance steps and we were introduced to a dhol drum. We all had a go – it is very loud!

The visitors were very good with our children and were able to communicate with them at the right level. The staff and children really enjoyed it. We hope to see them again very soon.

Don't we look good!

We look even better!

The Langley Elephant.

This was very loud.

It really is good exercise. Stretch up...

... and down!
