A week in the life of Langley Lunchtimes!

As many of our children are transported into school on minibuses, it is very difficult for them to attend after-school clubs which is why so much goes on at lunchtimes.

We offer a range of clubs which provide the children with a range of activities and experiences, should they choose to attend. For more information, read on...

Monday – Bubbles
A chance for the children to blow their worries away and have some fun!

Monday – Basketball
An opportunity to practise gross motor skills in a challenging way. Compete with your friends to see who can get the most goals.

Monday – Football
Calling all budding Beckhams! The coach and manager of our wonderfully successful football team (Mr Mundye) works to provide regular practice sessions for all children who want to take part.

This lunchtime session often includes a game of football – giving a great opportunity to talent-spot and for all children to be involved in a game.

Monday – Golf
Another chance to be involved in a different sport that tests gross and fine motor skills. Maybe we’ll have a budding ‘Masters Champion’. This is for selected children.

Monday – Lego
Build a world of imagination & develop fine motor skills at the same time. This is for targeted children within Langley and Coppice.

Tuesday – Connect 4
A game of strategy, who will win? Quiet play away from the busy playground.

Tuesday – Dressing Up
Another opportunity to access quiet play, choose some dressing up clothes and enter a world of make-believe.

Tuesday – Bey Blades
A competitive game which can encourage both individual skills and team playing. Comprises of little spinny things in a tray.

Wednesday – Football
Calling all budding Beckhams! The coach and manager of our wonderfully successful football team (Mr Mundye) works to provide regular practice sessions for all children who want to take part.

This lunchtime session often includes a game of football – giving a great opportunity to talent-spot and for all children to be involved in a game.
Wednesday – Jenga
A competitive game which encourages competition and tests fine motor skills. What fun when the tower falls over!

Wednesday – Music/Dance
The children dance along to a selection of the latest hits and their favourite tunes.

Thursday – Dodgeball
This is a team sport in which players on two teams try to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves. The objective of each team is to eliminate all members of the opposing team by hitting them with thrown balls, catching a ball thrown by an opponent, or induce an opponent to commit a violation, such as stepping outside the court.

Thursday – Big Build
Lego on a larger scale, fine motor and imagination.

Thursday – Bats and Balls
Have fun and try and hit balls to each other and catch them on the bats.

Thursday – Colouring
A calming and relaxing activity giving some quiet space in an otherwise busy day.

Friday – Parachute Games
A fun way to promote team games and working together.

Friday – Chalk
A calming and relaxing activity giving some quiet space in an otherwise busy day.

Friday – Small World
Imaginative and creative.

Friday - Yoga
Improving balance, flexibility and strength and giving a sense of well-being. This is for targeted children.
