Oaks children made these wonderful tree decorations this week. They decorated a wood slice, then used the hand drill to make a hole in it. They added some glue to a fir tree cutting then added some glitter, then finally slotted it into the hole. We thought their mini trees looked fabulous!
As always, there was lots of fun and learning going on all morning…
Maples children had a great morning using the wood they collected and sorted last week, to help make a fire. They had asked last week if they could make their breakfast out in the woods, so as a special treat we cooked sausages and toast…

Everyone helped…and everyone enjoyed their breakfast!
Willows class started making some festive tree decorations today. They chose to make either a snowman or a Santa.
They made a hole in their wood slice using the hand drill, then used paints to decorate it. Once they are dry, we will add further decorations and some string to hang them up…

But even more exciting than that… They had a wonderful time playing and splashing in the river and mini lake that was made by the heavy rain we had this afternoon! What fun everyone had…
