Acers apples

Acers worked hard this afternoon helping to look after our forest birds.
We started off with a bird picture hunt, gathering in the log circle when they had all been found, to read the information about each bird.
Then the children made some very juicy apple bird feeders! They hollowed out their apple with an apple corer then pushed a stick through the centre, tied some string and then filled the apple with bird seed. They chose a spot to hang the apples...we will check next week to see how much has been eaten!
We all enjoyed our reflection time-taking turns to use the dice to help us choose to talk about what we had liked or enjoyed doing, what we were proud of, what we wanted to do next time, what we had done for the first time or who we wanted to say thank-you to.
