Rowans class focussed on ladybirds this week.

They love using the hammer so this week we made red chalk paint by hammering chalk into a powder then adding water to it. Rowans painted pebbles with their red paint and next week, when it’s dry, they will add black spots.

They also made playdoh ladybirds, counting out and adding six stick legs, as well as stones to represent the spots.

We turned red potatoes into ladybirds by hammering nail spots into each side…

And also used the letter stones to make the words  ladybird, spots, six legs, insect and wings… and as always, we had fun exploring and using all the different areas and activities within the forest school site
Wednesday was transition day, so whilst everyone else was visiting their new class or new school, a small group of Langley leavers enjoyed a morning of forest fun.
We used different tools, made a medal, and enjoyed each child’s favourite activity during the morning…
