Rowans really enjoyed their time out in Forest School today, having lots of adventures, using the hammer to bash the dye out of dandelion leaves and learning about the different parts of a plant.
Look at the beautiful patterns we made by placing dandelion leaves inside some folded  fabric, and bashing it hard with the hammer! This was a great muscle strengthening activity as well as being very exciting watching the colour emerge...
We looked closely at different plants using the magnifying glass and magnifying sheets to study them carefully. We pointed out the roots, leaves, stalk and flower on the plants…
Self directed activities around the site were busy...happy...and full of fun!
