Hammering fun with Firs

We’ve had so much fun using simple tools in Forest School lately, that we decided to do some more hammering today! Once again we put a glove on our helper hand to keep us safe but this time instead of hammering flowers we hammered nails into a large piece of wood…taking turns to help make a big picture.

We also did some sorting and counting using natural resources… and used the milk crates and long planks of wood to create our own obstacle course.
Everyone found activities they enjoyed doing, ranging from listening to birds, bouncing on the ropes, building, and using tools. One little superstar discovered the fairy village today and thoroughly enjoyed very quietly and carefully making and leaving out food for the fairies to discover.
