Maples had a very exciting morning, working together to make a fire to cook some popcorn. They listened carefully to the instructions on how to use the fire striker and were super sensible when taking a turn to add a stick to the fire. Once the fire was hot enough, we added the popcorn pan and listened really carefully to the corn as it popped!
The popcorn was delicious…what a treat!
everyone then took turns to help put out the fire-we enjoyed listening to the sizzle as the water hit the sticks.
Well done Maples you worked together really well.

Hollies had a fun afternoon making bubble wands-using bendy sticks from our willow trees. They used secateurs to snip a stick from the tree and then used a potato peeler to strip off the bark.
They bent round the end of the stick to make a hoop and carefully wrapped wire around the hoop to make it stay in place.
The bubble wands were ready! It was super fun blowing and catching bubbles.
