Oaks class helped to complete this beautiful big butterfly this morning, by using a hammer to bash different flowers between a piece of material…
They placed flowers inside the folded fabric then carefully held and tapped the hammer on top, using a glove on their ‘helper hand to keep it protected.
We were very exciting  to the beautiful symmetrical patterns the bashed flowers made as their natural dyes were released…
The children really enjoyed using the new wood blocks and screwdrivers, concentrating well on twisting the screws into the ready made holes.
The binoculars were popular today- we looked at lots of different bird pictures and enjoyed listening to the birdsong from our toy blue-tit, blackbird, robin, woodpecker and owl.
Forest fun…
